How to test welding machines?

1 answer Reward0 Remaining Time 0 Day

Well I'm looking forward to buying a welding machine and i have heard of allot of ways to test a welding machine there's one were you put your ground and electrode together and you put the machine on max and you start turning the fine tune up from 0 to 100 but you have to go through every one and then back to 0 but that's bad for them, another welder told me to put it on max and the fine tune to 100 and if there's something wrong with it it will bend the rods or skip. Do y'all have any other ways on testing them to find out if the engine and the generator work fine? it will be my first buy I'm starting to weld allot hopefully be a pipeline welder in 4 years lol I'm only 15 though.

Today, the science continues to advance. Robot welding is commonplace in industrial settings.
