what are the two methods with which ductility can be measured when preforming a tensile test?
_______ is viewed under a microscope, it has acicular grain structure.
_______ is a processed of reheating a part after it has bees heated and quenched for the purpose of increasing toughness and improving the tensile strength.
_______metals have the ability to exist in two or more different crystalline structures in their solid state.

if anyone can answers one or two of them for me then it would be greatly appreciated... like always who ever can answers the most will get points :) thanks

I'm just a final year mechanical engineering student, and welding and tension testing were a part of my curriculum in the first and second year So these answers could be definitely wrong. I'm just trying to give you some lead. Please cross check with colleagues before you submit your worksheet. What are the two methods with which ductility can be measured when preforming a tensile test? 1) Analytical method: You need to obtain the ultimate stress from the tension test, and see how far it is from the limit of proportionality. The difference will be higher for ductile materials 2) Graphical method: Plot the stress-strain graph. It gives a straight line till the limit of proportionality(?), and then curves. This marks the phase of plastic deformation. If the phase of plastic deformation is significantly long, the metal is ductile (the average slope over this region will be lower than the slope of the straight line till the limit of proportionality) * FERRITE viewed under a microscope has an acicular grain structure. * TEMPERING is the process of reheating a part after it has bees heated and quenched for the purpose of increasing toughness and improving the tensile strength. * POLYMORPHIC metals have the ability to exist in two or more different crystalline structures in their solid state. Don't forget to verify these answers. I may have gone totally wrong.
