I looked at your Link. I have been welding 30 + years and haven't heard of an inverter welder. The Seller on Ebay did not give any specs. on his machine, you could contact him. I suspect it might run on a battery, but without a model #? A mig welder is excellent for automotive use. Better heat control. Mine has a spot welding attachment for body panels. Where I work, we have a suitcase 120 VAC mig unit. Used for outside projects, gas-less, with flux cored wire. No gas and flux cored-wire, eliminates the problems associated with the wind blowing the shielding gas away, causing a bad weld. Flux cored wire is more expensive than hard wire. Never did a cost analyse between gas, hard wire and flux-cored. You can email with more questions if you want to. I prefer a mig machine with gas & hard wire for small projects. For structural, like buildings, gas and flux-cored wire gives better penetration and can pass an engineers Field Weld Test. Hope this helps. Wingman
