    mig - easiest welding procedure. Equipment moderate to expensive. High deposition rate. Can be used for ferrous, nonferrous and stainless. Equipment available from small home/hobby units to robotic systems. stick- Depending on applications, takes moderate to advanced skill. Low to medium deposition rate. Ferrous and stainless. Equipment available for house current to 3 phase to engine drive portable units. Tig- highest skill level. Equipment moderate to expensive depending on procedure. Can be used to weld all metals (ac/dc machines). Allows for very precise heat zone.
