you can fasten your fabrication to something that won't flex easily, like an I-beam. When the welding is done wrap the whole thing up in Kao-wool, which is a type of insulating material, and let it cool down SLOWLY. This keeps stresses to a minimum and helps to keep your fabrication from warping. It is very difficult to keep stainless from warping, but it can be minimized. I've been on jobs (refinery, nukes) where the pipe fabrication had heating elements attached to it, brought up to just below the welding temperature, wrapped in Kao-wool, and the temperature decreased in a controlled fashion over a specific period of time ie: 80 degrees per hour. This data was recorded and made part of quality control package.
