1. which is better for welding, FR or leather??
2. When is FR preferred over leather?
3. MIG or TIG what gloves are widely used in US??

I like leather down fall its heavy and its hot. Flame resistant is lighter and cooler which is more manageable, but the durability is not that great. As for gloves depends on what you are welding i would go with some mig gloves which are lighter if the job does not required long periods of welding times. if it requires lots of welding i would go with some stick gloves which are thicker and longer
