With the changes of high-speed stamping precision tungsten carbidel mold materials and the continuous improvement of its application requirements in various environments, traditional high-speed stamping precision tungsten carbidel mold materials can no longer adapt to the increasingly complex and changeable working environment. So, how should tungsten carbidel mold materials with better performance in all aspects be produced?

In the prior art, high-speed stamping precision tungsten carbidel mold materials are mainly YG15, YG20, etc., and these materials are all produced with one specification of WC powder during the production process. Due to its poor oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, it is easy to cause defects such as corrosion and cracks in online cutting and EDM. On the other hand, at high temperatures, WC grains are easily dissolved in liquid cobalt. And there is a phenomenon of abnormal growth.

 

In view of the above-mentioned shortcomings, scientists have designed a new production method of tungsten carbidel mold materials, the steps are as follows:

 

(1) Weigh the raw materials of each component that meet the following requirements:

 

(2) The raw materials weighed in step 1 are mixed and then ball milled, sprayed and dried to obtain a mixture;

 

(3) Use a press to preform and cold isostatically press the mixture obtained in step 2;

 

(4) Perform pressure sintering and stress relief treatment on the material obtained in step 3 to obtain the required tungsten carbidel mold material.

Precautions:

 

(1) In step 4, the pressure sintering temperature should be 1450-1480°C, the holding time after pressure sintering is 20min, and the holding time is 30min.

 

(2) The raw materials of each component in step 1:

 

(A) The content of WC with a particle diameter of 0.8μm is set to 60.0%, the content of WC with a particle diameter of 5.0-8.0μm is set to 20.0%, and the content of WC with a particle diameter of 15.0-20.0μm is set to 5.0%, Co The content of powder is set to 10.0%, the content of Ni powder is set to 4.0%, and the content of Cr3C2 powder is set to 1.0%.

 

(B) The content of WC with a particle diameter of 0.8μm is set to 50.0%, the content of WC with a particle diameter of 5.0-8.0μm is set to 25.0%, and the content of WC with a particle diameter of 15.0-20.0μm is set to 10.0%. The content of powder is set to 8.0%, the content of Ni powder is set to 5.0%, and the content of Cr2C3 powder is set to 2.0%.

 

WC is used as the composite hard phase, Co/Ni is used as the binder metal, and Cr3C2 is used as the corrosion phase.

 

Compared with the prior art, the production technology has the advantages of using three kinds of WC with different particle diameters as raw materials, and adding Cr3C2 as the corrosion phase, so that the tungsten carbidel mold material has good corrosion resistance.
