Kneading and honing: also known as abrasive flow processing. This process method uses a semi-solid grinding abrasive to make the abrasive reciprocate on the surface of the processed part under the effect of the kneading and honing machine. A new type of process for grinding and polishing the cavity, the penetration aperture and the edges, and deburring the chamfered corners.

 

Kneading and honing use abrasives with different particle sizes and viscosities. Under the effect of kneading force, selecting appropriate process parameters can make the surface roughness of the parts improve by 2-3 levels after 3-5 minutes of honing on the basis of the original surface roughness. The highest roughness can reach 0.05, and the precision can be controlled in the micron level.
