The thermal spraying coating of aeroengine mainly includes wear-resistant coating, thermal barrier coating, sealing coating and high temperature protective coating.

1. Wear resistant coating

Because the working conditions of aeroengine parts are very bad (high temperature, high speed, vibration and high load), and they are subject to adhesion, abrasive, corrosion and fatigue, the performance and service life of the engine are affected.

2. Sealing coating

Aviation gas turbine engine has a relatively complete gas path sealing system. The system consists of 40-60 sealing devices between the shaft, drum, rotating blade tip, compressor and turbine. The sealing device directly affects the power, thrust and efficiency of the engine. For example, for the sealing of turbine outer ring (i.e. tip radial clearance), according to the design requirements, every 1% increase in the ratio of tip clearance to blade length will increase the turbine efficiency loss by 1% 3%. It can be seen that gas path sealing is one of the important ways to improve efficiency and performance. There are two types of thermal spraying sealing coatings, namely active grinding coating and abradable coating (passive).

(1) The active grinding coating (abrasive) is generally a hard wear-resistant gray alumina coating sprayed on the sealing labyrinth. With the high-speed rotation of the rotor, grind the corresponding metal honeycomb seal like a grinding wheel, and try not to wear itself. This requires that the coating has high bonding strength, high hardness and good thermal insulation performance.

(2) Abradable coating is required to be soft and easy to wear, and has "runwei" performance, impact resistance, thermal vibration resistance, and good bonding performance with the substrate.
