    1. Reasonably install the drawing die

 

    When installing the wire drawing die, ensure that the foundation is stable to avoid vibration and increase the wear of the die. At the same time, it is necessary to adjust the drawing axis of the wire to be symmetrical to the center line of the die hole, so that the stress between the wire and the die will be uniform and friction will be reduced.

 

 

    2. The wire is drawn for pretreatment

 

    Before the wire drawing process, the wire with more surface impurities needs to be cleaned, dried and then drawn; if the wire has more oxide scale on the surface, it can be pickled and dried first; and if the surface has peeling, Heavy leather and other phenomena can be repaired with a polisher before starting to pull.

 

    We all know that the drawn wire must have good hardness uniformity, but what should we do if the wire hardness is too large or the hardness is uneven? In fact, it is very simple, heat treatment before processing, that is, reduce the hardness by annealing or tempering.

 

    3. Maintain a suitable drawing surface shrinkage rate

 

    In the wire drawing process, the shrinkage rate of the wire drawing surface is too large, which will cause the mold to crack or break. Therefore, we have to select the appropriate area shrinkage for drawing according to the different mechanical properties of the wire. For example, if you are drawing stainless steel wire with a diamond die, the single-pass surface shrinkage will generally not exceed 20%.

 

    4. Use lubricants with excellent performance

 

    The importance of lubricant to the wire drawing process is obvious. Its quality and sufficient supply affect the service life of the wire drawing die.
