Carbide roll forging points to note:

 

1. Forging equipment:

 

The tonnage of the template forging hammer should be appropriately selected according to the different quality of the forgings, and the hammer head and hammer drill should be preheated before forging.

 

2, blank preparation:

 

Cold sawing should be used for blank blanking. According to the different requirements of various cemented carbide molds, the carbide segregation level should be considered when selecting raw materials, and the appropriate forging process should be used. Generally, it can be increased by 1-1.5 level every three times of upsetting. .

 

3. Billet heating:

 

The heating should be carried out slowly to prevent rapid heating to avoid over-burning. When heating, strictly control the upper limit temperature. If over-burning is found, the temperature should be lowered in the furnace before forging.

 

4. Forging of blanks:

 

When forging, first lightly hit, after removing the oxide scale, forging according to the process requirements, the blank must be placed correctly during upsetting, so as not to cause the blank to be beaten and hurt.

 

5. Forging cooling:

 

The forged blanks should be placed in a lime box or sand pit, preferably in a holding furnace at 400-600°C for heat preservation, so that they can be slowly cooled.
