       1. Wire stretching.

The stretching of the wire is a kind of plastic deformation through the die hole under a certain tensile force to make the section smaller and longer, thereby making it longer.

2. Tensile properties.

(1) The stretched wire has accurate dimensions, smooth surface, and various cross-sectional shapes.

(2) Elongate wires of various diameters.

(3) Mainly cold processing, drawing process. Simple mold and high production efficiency.

(4) Stretching consumes a lot of energy, and there are some restrictions on deformation.

3. The principle of stretching.

Drawing is a kind of processing within the pressure range, except that a small amount of powder is produced during the drawing process, the volume is almost unchanged, so the volume of the metal before and after the drawing is basically the same.

4. Factors affecting stretching.

(1) Copper and aluminum rod (wire) materials. When other conditions remain unchanged, the drawing force of aluminum wire drawing is greater than that of drawing copper aluminum wire, and aluminum wire drawing is easy to break. Therefore, a larger safety factor should be used when drawing aluminum wire.

(2) The tensile strength of the material. There are many factors that affect the tensile strength, such as the chemical composition of the material and the calendering process. The tensile strength is high and the tensile force is large.

(3) Deformation degree. The greater the deformation, the longer the length of the deformed section of the die hole, which increases the positive pressure, friction and tensile force of the die hole against the line.

(4) The coefficient of friction between the wire and the die hole. As the coefficient of friction increases, the tensile force also increases. The coefficient of friction is the surface treatment of wire and mold materials. The composition and quantity of lubricating fluid.

(5) The size and shape of the working area and radial area of the wire die hole. As the radial area increases, the tensile force increases.

(6) Position the wire mold. Improper installation of the wire mold or distortion of the mold base will also increase the pulling force. The wire diameter and surface quality are unqualified.

(7) External factors. If the wire is not straight, the jitter of the wire and the resistance of the wire will increase the pulling force.
