Spraying technology (introduction to thermal spraying process flow)
Thermal spraying is to spray a metal strengthening coating on the damaged metal surface to improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and other properties of the substrate, and enhance the surface strength. The main process of thermal spraying processing: First, the sprayed material is heated and melted, and the melted droplets are atomized, and the sprayed particles fly at a high speed, and are sprayed to the substrate to form a coating. In this process, the higher the temperature of the heat source, the greater the impact velocity of the droplet, and the higher the density of the formed coating. There are generally three ways of binding between the particles in the coating and the surface of the substrate:
1. Mechanical bonding: Particles that collide into a flat shape and undulate with the surface of the substrate are embedded with each other on the surface to form a mechanical pinning shape, and then mesh. In thermal spraying, in general, the combination of the coating and the substrate is still dominated by mechanical bonding.
2. Physical bond: mainly refers to the bond formed by the secondary valence bond force between the particle and the surface of the substrate.
3. Metallurgical-chemical combination: This combination is a combination of metallurgical reactions between the coating and the surface of the substrate.
