On June 27-28, "2019 China tungsten molybdenum industry development BBS", sponsored by China nonferrous metals industry association, co-organized by jinduicheng molybdenum industry co., LTD., and undertaken by Beijing antaike information co., LTD., was successfully held in the ancient city of xi 'an. BBS aims to further understand the global macroeconomic situation, analyze the development trend of the global tungsten and molybdenum industry, predict the market prospect and discuss the technological development, strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and promote the high-quality development of China's tungsten and molybdenum industry. Zhao jiasheng, vice chairman of China nonferrous metals industry association, and zhang jixiang, party secretary of jinduicheng molybdenum industry group co., ltd. attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. Zheng jiaju, chairman of antaike information co., ltd. presided over the opening ceremony.

Dr. Gaetano Ronchi, greater China representative of the international molybdenum association, made a report on the role and application of molybdenum in low-alloy structural steel and corrosion resistant steel, and introduced the production and consumption of molybdenum in 2018, high-performance low-alloy steel and stainless steel in detail. He pointed out that the global proportion of molybdenum consumption in China was relatively low. In 2018, the global molybdenum consumption was 264,000 tons, and China's molybdenum consumption accounted for 37%. China's carbon steel and stainless steel production accounted for 52% and 53% of the global total respectively, but the consumption of alloy steel and stainless steel accounted for 30% of the global total. According to the average unit consumption of molybdenum, the carbon steel is 55g/ ton in China and 133g/ ton abroad. For stainless steel, China's is 1.1kg/ ton, while foreign countries' is 2.9kg/ ton. Casting industry is a huge market of molybdenum application, and more and more casting enterprises are committed to improving product performance, especially automobile parts. The typical optimization standards of adding molybdenum in casting industry are strength, toughness, thermal conductivity and abrasion resistance.

Molybdenum international association (IMOA) is a scientific non-profit trade association founded in 1989. Currently, its members represent more than 85% of the world's molybdenum production and almost all smelting capacity.

International molybdenum association has a prospective market development project, which aims to improve people's understanding of molybdenum and promote the application of molybdenum and molybdenum containing materials. Through holding seminars and training, provide technical advice, technical manuals published, case study, industry newsletter and statistical data and websites and number of public way, to the manufacturers, engineers, designers, policy makers and the general public about molybdenum materials characteristics and applicability, positive role for the sustainable development of molybdenum for propaganda. We fund research projects to discover and develop new applications or expand existing end-use applications. We also coordinate responses to regulations and use rigorous scientific evidence to rationalize regulations.
