Nonferrous metals refer to 59 metals including copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, and 5 semi-metals including silicon, arsenic, selenium, tellurium, in addition to iron, manganese, chromium and 25 radioactive metals such as uranium and thorium, and a total of 64 elements. According to the definition of the national bureau of statistics, nonferrous metal industry includes nonferrous metal mining industry and nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry. Non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry includes five main industries including non-ferrous metal smelting, precious metal smelting, rare earth metal smelting, non-ferrous metal alloy manufacturing and non-ferrous metal rolling processing.
In 2018, the fixed asset investment in China's nonferrous metals industry increased by 1.2% year-on-year, among which, the investment in mining and selection decreased by 8% year-on-year, and the investment in smelting and processing increased by 3.2% year-on-year.
Accelerate the innovative development of new nonferrous materials and new business forms. We will expand the upstream and downstream cooperation mechanism of civil aircraft aluminum into the cooperation mechanism of civil aircraft materials, push forward the implementation of annual key tasks, track the progress of the construction of new energy vehicle platform, strengthen supervision and coordination of work, and form the annual landmark work results. We will strengthen the weak spots of new materials, establish a nonferrous materials database and an industry testing and evaluation center, and improve the basic system of nonferrous materials. At the same time, we will further integrate the nonferrous industry with the Internet, build advanced nonferrous metal industrial clusters, expand the application fields, and explore new models and forms of business development.
Improve the intelligent and green development level of the industrial chain. To formulate guidelines for the construction of intelligent mines and factories for non-ferrous metals and guide the construction of intelligent standardization in the industry. Focusing on the shortcomings of green manufacturing in traditional industries such as copper, lead, zinc, tungsten and magnesium, such as green smelting, ultra-low emission, harmless disposal of waste residue and comprehensive utilization of resources, we will accelerate the research and development and promotion of applicable technologies, guide the docking of technology supply and demand in some industrial agglomeration areas, and guide enterprises to accelerate green development.
