I have an old vise which broke and am wondering if I can oxy/acy. weld it? its one of the jaws that broke,lol not the real steel frame part...

The only way to gas weld a cast iron vice is to place the vice in an oven and bring it up to red heat. Bring it out and weld with the correct rod. Place back in the oven for 30 mins and remove and cool slowly.. That is the correct method for cast iron.
