There are three primary methods used to create alloys. The first involves melting and combining the metals. The intense heat causes the atoms to intermingle and allows them to form a new material. This method is the oldest and easiest but does not work with many of the modern alloys. Another option is to grind two materials down to powders and then fuse the two agents together with heat and pressure, a process that works to make a wider variety of alloys. There is even a modern process that beams ions into the metal to form the alloy.
