What is an adhesive alloy?

Reward0 Remaining Time 0 Day

Different resins are combined so that the adhesive alloy take the advantage of important property of each component.
Usually thermosetting, elastomers and thermoplastic groups are combined togather. Thermosetting resin has high strength so it could be combined with an elastomer which is highly flexible. This gives us an adhesive alloy which is tougher and more flexible.
Some examples are epoxy-phenolic, epoxy-nylon, vinyl-phenolic.
