1. Cemented carbide

Cemented carbide for wire drawing die is a cemented carbide-tungsten alloy with low cobalt content. It has good wear resistance, impact resistance, polishability and corrosion resistance, convenient repair, low cost, and is widely used in drawing medium thickness Silk. The results show that by improving the composition and structure of the cemented carbide and controlling the fluctuation of the carbon content, the performance of the cemented carbide can be improved and the service life can be prolonged. At present, countries all over the world use hip solution, ultra-nano microcrystal processing technology, add rare earth to reduce porosity, refine crystals, improve aluminum alloy strength, reduce friction resistance, chemical vapor deposition and physical liquid phase accumulation methods in cemented carbide tools Preparation of thin film or titanium nitride coating on the surface to improve the compressive strength of aluminum alloy

2. Natural diamond

Natural diamond is the hardest and hardest material in nature. It has high wear resistance and thermal conductivity. It can improve the surface quality of steel wire and improve the performance and dimensional accuracy of steel wire. It is mainly used for wire drawing and finished steel wire. However, it is brittle in nature, poor in impact resistance, isotropic in hardness, and the drawing die is easy to wear unevenly. In addition, diamond is rare, expensive, and difficult to process, so it is limited in wire drawing and thick wire.

3. Synthetic diamond

Synthetic diamond, also known as polycrystalline diamond, is a non-directional polymerized polycrystalline diamond composed of many single crystal particles. It has the advantages of high strength, high hardness, good impact resistance, and good overall performance. The service life of wire drawing and fine wire is higher than that of diamond die and cemented carbide die. The wire size is stable and the surface quality is good. However, the grain size of synthetic polycrystalline diamond is large, it is difficult to polish, and the surface finish of the filament is not as good as that of natural diamond. By refining the crystal grains, the polishing performance can be improved, and the natural diamond can be replaced on the medium-fine wire drawing die.
