Grain size
is a scale representing grain size. Common expression methods include the
number of grains per unit volume (zv), the number of grains per unit area (ZS)
or the average line length (or diameter) of grains.

A measure of
grain size is called grain size. Grain size is usually evaluated or determined
by different methods such as length, area, volume or number of grain size
grades. The grain size expressed by the number of grain size grades is
independent of the measurement method and unit of measurement.

The actual
grain size refers to the austenite grain size obtained by steel under specific
heat treatment or hot working conditions. The actual grain size basically
reflects the grain size obtained under the actual heat treatment or hot working
conditions of steel parts, and directly affects the microstructure and
properties of products obtained after steel cooling. The grain size usually
refers to the actual grain size unless otherwise specified.
