High compressive strength is one of the important properties of cemented carbide, but there is no unified testing method for the compressive strength of cemented carbide.
The author uses the cemented carbide compressive strength test method introduced in the article to measure the compressive strength of WC-11 (Co-Ni) cemented carbide, and discusses the influence of the ratio of nickel to cobalt and the carbon content in the alloy on the compressive strength.
f WC-11 (Co-Ni) alloy, when the Ni content in the binder phase increases from 30% to 75%, the compressive strength decreases with the increase of Ni content and carbon content;
When the Ni content in the phase is increased from 75% to 100%, the compressive strength basically does not change with the change of Ni content and carbon content; the resistance of WC-7.7Co-3.3Ni alloy and WC-5.5Co-5.5Ni alloy
The compressive strength is higher than that of WC-11Co alloy.
