Titanium plate heat exchanger is an important part of heat exchange technology in process industry equipment. The elastic gasket that seals between the various plate heat sinks is a vulnerable part, and it is also a part that is prone to aging under natural conditions. Its service life has an important influence on the service life of the titanium plate heat exchanger.



 



When using a titanium plate heat exchanger under high temperature conditions, it is necessary to make sure that there is a certain gap between the plate and half to complete the heat exchange between the two media. The titanium plate heat exchanger is based on the size of the heat exchange area. The number of halves are fixed with tension bolts and each halves are separated by sealing rubber gaskets. Before fixing, it is necessary to compress the plates with a press, and then fix them with tightening bolts and nuts. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the plate heat exchanger will not be deformed or leaked. When the liquid flows into the inside of the plate heat exchanger, the active down pressure of the two high-temperature media gradually increases from small. At this time, it is necessary to ensure that its pressure is less than the rated pressure capacity of the plate heat exchanger.



 



If these seals are thermally hardened and lose their original elasticity, the heat exchanger may not work properly. The following factors have an important influence on the service life of elastic seals:



 



1) The working mode of the titanium plate heat exchanger (continuous or discontinuous).



 



2) The corrosiveness of the heat dissipation medium and the cleaning agent used.



 



3) The maximum working temperature The maximum working pressure The stress of the elastic gasket is larger due to the excessive pressure and the unbalanced pressure.



 



The softening of the natural aging elastic gasket is related to pressure and temperature. When the gasket loses its elasticity, the heat exchanger will leak. In some products, in order to solve the dripping phenomenon caused by the aging of the gasket, it is allowed to adjust the sealing performance of the titanium plate heat exchanger, that is, tighten the bolts of the combined plate heat exchanger again, and adjust the gap between the heat exchangers. The pressing force of the elastic gasket solves the problem of dripping and leakage. On the nameplate of the titanium plate heat exchanger with this function, the maximum and minimum allowable stress are generally given. For new heat exchanger fins, the smallest allowable stress should be used for connection and fixation.
