High speed flame spraying equipment like Praxair JP-5000 Metco DJ-2700

       

High speed flame spraying equipment is
generally composed of spray gun, powder feeder, control system, spray gun
cooling system and gas supply system. At present, most of the high-speed flame
spraying equipment in use in China are imported, and the most commonly used
models are: DJ-2700 of Metco company and JP-5000 of Praxair company.

JP-5000 was successfully developed by the
original Hobart TAFA company, and then the company was incorporated into
Praxair company. These two kinds of equipment are most widely used in foreign
countries, representing the development level of high-speed flame spraying
technology in the world.

(1) Praxair JP-5000. The equipment uses
kerosene as fuel, which is characterized by high combustion chamber pressure
(> 10bar), high power and high flame exit velocity (2100m / s); The powder
is injected radially from the low pressure area of the burner to make the
powder heated evenly and fully. Compared with other processes, the powder size
suitable for spraying is coarser, which is helpful to reduce the cost. So far,
the performance of WC Co coating sprayed by JP-5000 is slightly better than
that of other HVOF methods, but the consumption of oxygen and kerosene is
amazing.

（2）Metco DJ-2700.
The equipment is produced by Metco company, using propane or propylene as fuel
gas, and propane is mostly used as fuel gas in China. The equipment can be
divided into two types: automatic control type and automatic control type. The
manual type is only composed of spray gun, powder feeder and flow controller.
It has good mobility and can be used in field spraying production. Compared
with JP-5000, DJ-2700 has the advantages of simple configuration, convenient
operation and low oxygen gas consumption.
