Cemented carbide is a composite material composed of high-hardness, refractory metal carbides and bonding metals.

Because of its high hardness, wear resistance and stable chemical properties, it is used in modern tool materials, wear-resistant materials, High temperature resistant and corrosion resistant materials occupies an important position.

Under static abrasive wear conditions, the different proportions of cast tungsten carbide and nickel-based alloy have an impact on the wear resistance. The wear resistance of the spray-welded layer increases with the increase of the cast tungsten carbide content, but it turns to decrease when it increases to a certain extent. When the cast tungsten carbide content is between 35% and 45%, it is the best ratio range. When the content of cast tungsten carbide is small, there is not enough hard phase in the spray welding layer, and the wear resistance is correspondingly reduced; when its content is too large, the amount of bonding metal is reduced, and the cast carbide particles cannot be embedded or nailed It is also difficult to fully bond with the base metal when it is stuck in the base metal.
