You may have heard of tungsten carbide
powder, but do you know how to spray tungsten carbide powder? The basic process
of WC powder spraying includes substrate surface pretreatment, spraying,
surface heat treatment, coating sealing treatment and coating surface finish.



(1) Substrate surface pretreatment: after
selecting the spraying method, select degreasing, derusting, surface roughness
and other pretreatment processes.



(2) Spraying: when spraying tungsten
carbide, reasonable process parameters should be determined to control the
spraying quality.



It includes the conditions of injection
heat source, i.e. the mixture ratio of fuel and oxygen;



2. Material transportation, i.e. the type,
speed, flow rate, position and angle of transportation gas;



Tungsten carbide spraying materials,
including material composition, physical properties, powder form, particle
size, wire or bar diameter, etc.



Four basic components: substrate
temperature, properties and surface treatment methods;



There are five kinds of spraying
operations, including the distance between the spray gun and the machine, the
speed of the spray gun or the machine parts, the angle between the spray gun
and the machine parts, and the spraying of gas medium.



(3) Post coating treatment: sealing
treatment or heat treatment shall be carried out immediately after coating.



(4) Surface treatment: after tungsten
carbide spraying, the tungsten carbide spraying should be polished to ensure
the dimensional accuracy. In addition, safety protection should be carried out
in WC spraying.
