1. The workpiece is heated differently. Spraying has no remelting process, and the surface temperature of the workpiece can always be controlled below 250 . Improper process use is easy to cause workpiece deformation.



2. Different from the bonding state with the substrate, the bonding between the sprayed layer and the substrate surface is mainly mechanical bite. Although there is micro Zone metallurgical bonding, the bonding strength of the coating is not high. Surfacing forms metallurgical bonding with the substrate surface through coating melting. The bonding strength is 3-6 times that of spraying, and the bonding thickness is 2-4 times that of spraying.



3. Different powders are used. Surfacing requires the use of self fusible alloy powder, while spraying does not require high self fusibility of powder. Various self fusible alloy powders can be used for surfacing and spraying. However, the powder without self fusibility can only be used for spraying, not for surfacing process.



4. The overburden structure is different. The surfacing layer is uniform and dense, and it is generally considered that there is no pore, while the spraying layer has pore defects.



5. Different bearing capacity. The spray coating can not bear the impact load and high contact stress. It is mostly used on the working surface under lubrication conditions, mating surface and other working conditions with less stress. The surfacing layer can bear the impact load and high contact stress. It can be used under complex working conditions and can be used in line contact.
