Cr3C2-NiCr powder is composed of two components with different properties. NiCr alloy has good heat and corrosion resistance, and the common component is 80% Ni-20% Cr. Cr-C system has three compounds: Cr3C2, Cr7C3 and Cr23C6. The melting temperatures are 1810 ° C, 1726 ° C and 1575 ° C respectively.



Cr3C2 is the most common and important one. The characteristic of these chromium carbide is that the oxidation resistance is the strongest in metal carbides, and significant oxidation begins only at 1100-1400 degrees in air. It still maintains quite high hardness under high temperature conditions. Cr3C2 also has strong corrosion resistance and wear resistance, which is 30 times that of 1Crl8Ni9Ti stainless steel in dilute sulfuric acid solution and 50 times that of CO WC alloy in steam. When Cr3C2-NiCr is used to spray the boiler tube of power plant, the wear of tube wall is reduced from 1.5-2.0mm/year to 0.03mm/year, and its working life is extended to more than seven years. Generally, Ni Cr is used as the bonding phase of heat-resistant alloy to form a coating similar to Cr3C2 hard thermal spraying, which constitutes an excellent high-temperature and wear-resistant material. Using HVOF or plasma spraying process, Ni Cr alloy and Cr3C2 ceramics can have sufficient conditions to form a homogeneous cermet coating. This coating has the functions of wear resistance, erosion resistance, cavitation erosion and micro vibration under high temperature conditions.



 At the same time, it also has the characteristics of high temperature gas (even S-containing gas) corrosion and high temperature oxidation. Typical applications are: coal-fired boiler tube (power plant, paper mill), metallurgical annealing furnace rod, thermoforming die, hydraulic machine valve, fuel rod mandrel, turbine gas seal ring, air baffle, internal nozzle support, pump sleeve, thermal crushing, piston guide rail, shift fork, compressor gas seal, expansion joint, turbine nozzle, fake tools, turbine exhaust support, etc.
