As a thermal spraying material, Cr3C2 NiCr has different structure and composition. In terms of structure, it is divided into mixed type and coated type. The former is formed by mixing NiCr and Cr3C2 as a component according to the requirements of certain particle size and weight. This type of nicr-cr3c2 powder has been used for many years and still occupies an important position. Coating powder appeared in the early 1980s. It uses chemical and metallurgical methods to coat NiCr and Cr3C2 together to become a composite powder. This powder reduces the possibility of loss of C during spraying, and makes the coating homogeneous and uniform. The composition of nicr-cr3c2 powder mainly refers to the ratio between the two components. For NiCr alloy itself, 8oni% 20% Cr is usually selected, and the content of NiCr alloy can be increased from 0 to 50%. With the increase of NiCr, the toughness of the coating increases, but the hardness decreases and the wear resistance is poor. Only the proportion of the two is appropriate, and the high temperature resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating can reach the comprehensive optimal value. Generally, NiCr accounts for 20-25%.

As early as the late 1960s, American Metco developed nicr-cr3c2 powder. The powder is of mixed type. The content of NiCr is 7%, 15%, 20% and 25%. The particle size ranges from 140 mesh to 5um, and several intervals are set in the middle. Spray with plasma spray gun. Mainly used for strengthening other parts of aeroengine. This situation remained until the late 1970s. By the early 1980s, foreign countries began to develop coating powder, mainly by means of high-pressure hydrogen reduction, thermal diffusion, plasma atomization, agglomeration, sintering and crushing. But it was not until the early 1990s that such products were introduced to the market. Among these products, plasma spraying is still dominated by mixed powder, and coated powder is only used for supersonic flame spraying, that is, powder with particle size of - 300 mesh.
