HVOF technology uses high-purity propane as fuel and high-pressure oxygen as combustion supporting agent. The control system transmits propane and oxygen to the spray gun at a certain pressure and flow. After being ignited by electric spark, it forms high-temperature and high-pressure gas, which is accelerated to more than 6 times the sound speed through Laval nozzle. The powder feeding system sends the spraying powder into the flame flow from the low-pressure area of Laval nozzle. After heating, melting and atomizing by the flame flow, it is sprayed to the workpiece surface at supersonic speed to deposit a dense, uniform, high hardness and high bonding force coating with low oxide content.
