Tungsten carbide spraying has the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, and long life, which promotes the rapid development of CNC tools.



Tungsten carbide spray materials are mainly divided into coatings and cemented carbide substrates. Tungsten carbide spraying is a process of physical and chemical reactions and film formation. The performance and surface condition of the substrate must meet the requirements of tungsten carbide spraying. Tungsten carbide spray must be combined with a suitable substrate to achieve the desired performance.



Tungsten carbide sprayed substrates should generally meet the following requirements:



Good toughness and resistance to plastic deformation;



Sufficient hardness and strength, especially at high temperatures;



The chemical composition should match the tungsten carbide coating material, and the combination between the two must be very strong;



It should not be damaged under high deposition temperature;



The coefficient of thermal expansion should be similar to that of the coating material;



Good thermal conductivity.
