The base pretreatment is different from other corrugated rolls, it needs to be formulated according to the thermal spraying process conditions, and the tooth profile processing needs to consider the thermal spraying allowance to complete the forming on the CNC corrugated roll grinder. The quality of cleaning and roughening of the surface of the substrate is the basis for obtaining a good coating. The cleaning work increases the adhesion of the coating. The uniform edge and corner state of the roughening is beneficial to the mechanical locking effect. The increase of surface deposition also further improves the bonding strength of the coating. Because the surface hardness of the sprayed tungsten carbide layer is very high, it cannot be ground with a general grinding wheel, and must be completed with a special polishing process to ensure accurate corrugation.
