       Recently, customers often inquire about some surface treatment solutions. As a technical background, I often insist on my own opinion on the choice of surface treatment because of my dedication to technology. A friend reminded me, "You can do what the customer says. Why bother with the customer? Anyway, even if the customer chooses the wrong one, it's none of your business. He just needs to give the money." That's true. I used to be a small technician and did experiments every day. Now I start a business and make money. Why do I need to overthrow the client's plan. Here I need to say "I'm sorry" to the customer who was rejected by me.



The most recent situation is summarized as follows:



1. The shape of the product is not suitable for processing



A product with good coating uniformity is required. If it is a regular shape, a uniform coating can be easily made (because there are powerful robots), but if the shape is irregular and a uniform coating is required, this is very difficult. Yes, whether it is manual spraying or robotic operation, it is impossible to do. I won't do something I simply can't do for the processing fee, and for such a product, I will refuse to process it.



2. The product size does not meet the spraying requirements



I usually recommend that customers need to grind the workpiece before spraying, whether it is a plane or a cylinder, it must be ground after spraying, and leave enough allowance. However, the roundness or flatness of the products brought by some customers is seriously out of tolerance. After spraying and applying the grinder, the coating in the local area will be finished, and the coating in the local area will not be ground. I refuse to process such products.



3. The selected material is not suitable for the working conditions



Some products choose to spray tungsten carbide coating under the working conditions of about 700 ℃, and I would recommend customers to use other materials. Because the tungsten carbide coating begins to oxidize at 400 °C, the wear resistance cannot be reflected at 700 °C. If the customer insists on using a tungsten carbide coating, I will refuse to process it.



4. The unit price is seriously out of reality



The prices proposed by some customers have been seriously out of line with reality. If I want to make profits, I will definitely sacrifice product quality. For such a product, I refuse to process it. My bottom line is not how much money I make, but how much money I make while ensuring the quality of the product.



A gentleman loves money in a proper way. I can't forget my original intention just because a company needs profit. Some people say that I am too high, but in fact I just want to do the coating well. I have always kept in mind the mission of my own business and contributed to the development of thermal spraying.
