       (1) The brush plating power supply (hereinafter referred to as the power supply) should have the characteristics of DC out-of-plane, that is, with the increase of the load current, the output voltage of the power supply should drop very little. At present, single-phase 220V AC is commonly used when the output current is less than 60A. After the voltage regulator and transformer are stepped down in two stages, and then bridge rectified, the pulsating DC output is 100Hz. When the output current is greater than 60A, it is advisable to use three-phase rectification, and the pulsating DC is still output.



(2) The output voltage of the power supply should be steplessly adjustable, and the optimal voltage value can be selected according to different workpieces and different plating solutions to ensure the quality of the coating. The voltage adjustment range is 0~30V, and the maximum does not exceed 40V.



(3) The power supply should be equipped with an ampere-hour meter or a coating thickness gauge to display the power consumed by the electroplated parts or the thickness of the coating of the parts, thereby reducing the number of measurements, preventing the surface of the parts from drying or polluting, and ensuring the quality of the coating.



(4) The power supply should be equipped with positive and negative polarity conversion devices to meet the requirements of different processes such as electroplating, activation, and electric cleaning.



(5) The power supply should be equipped with an overload protection device. When the load current exceeds 5%~10% of the rated current or the positive and negative electrodes are short-circuited, the main circuit should be quickly cut off to protect the power supply and plated parts from damage.



In addition to the above, in order to meet the needs of on-site repair or field repair, the power supply should be small in size, light in weight, reliable in operation, high in measurement accuracy, simple in operation and convenient in maintenance.
