The maximum acetylene pressure in the acetylene bottle is 1.5MPa. Since acetylene is a flammable, dry and dangerous gas, it must be used with caution. In addition to the requirements for the use of oxygen cylinders, the following points should also be strictly observed.

a. The acetylene bottle should not be subjected to violent vibration and impact, so as to prevent the porous filler in the bottle from sinking and forming a cavity, which affects the storage of acetylene.

b. The acetylene bottle should be placed upright when working, because acetone will flow out with acetylene when lying down, and even flow into the acetylene rubber tube and welding torch through the pressure reducer, which is very dangerous.

c. The surface temperature of the acetylene cylinder should not exceed 30-40℃, because the high temperature of the acetylene cylinder will reduce the solubility of acetone to acetylene, and the acetylene pressure in the cylinder will increase sharply.

d. The connection between the acetylene pressure reducer and the valve of the acetylene bottle must be reliable. It is strictly forbidden to use it in the case of air leakage, otherwise a mixed gas of acetylene and air will be formed, and an explosion accident will be caused when it touches an open flame.

e. When using an acetylene bottle, do not use up all the acetylene in the bottle, and leave 0.1MPa at the end, and close the valve of the gas bottle tightly to prevent air leakage.
