       Due to its superior performance, supersonic flame spray coating has been widely used in aerospace (engine compressor blades, bearing sleeves, etc. are basically standardized), steel metallurgy, petrochemical, paper and biomedicine and other fields, not only for wear parts , and more as a performance enhancement for new equipment.



1. Applications in the aerospace field



Aircraft landing gear usually adopts hard chrome plating technology. With the needs of environmental protection, in order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by the application of chrome plating technology, the use of supersonic flame spraying technology (HVOF) to spray WC-Co coating gradually replaces chrome plating technology. The country has generally adopted it. HVOF coating technology has higher bonding strength and better wear and corrosion resistance than chrome plating. In order to improve the high temperature resistance of aircraft engine blades, the composite coating system of HVOF spraying MCrAlY bonding bottom layer and plasma spraying MGrAlY-Y2O3/ZrO2 surface layer is often used to effectively improve the thermal shock resistance of the coating.



2. Application in the paper industry



In order to maintain a good surface roughness, some work rolls in the paper industry need to be finely ground every half to four months. Using HVOF to prepare a 100 μm WC-Co coating can increase the service life of the work rolls to 15 months.



3. Application in the field of iron and steel metallurgy



Using HVOF to prepare 100um WC-Co coating on sunken roll and stable roll, the porosity of the coating is less than 1%, and the surface sealing treatment of the coating can increase the service life of the roll from 15 days to 45 days to 60 days sky.



HVOF is used to prepare 100um NiCr-Cr3C2 coating on the furnace roll with a service temperature of about 650 ℃, which significantly improves the high temperature wear resistance of the roll, and the service life is as high as 24 months.



For non-ferrous metal secondary processing rolls, the service life of the HVOF spray coating is significantly improved. For example, after the forming rolls and conveying rolls on the cold rolling line of aluminum plates are sprayed with WC-Co coating by HVOF, their service life is increased from 0.5 years to 1 year to 2 years to 3 years.



4. Application in petrochemical field



In the petrochemical field, HVOF is widely used to strengthen the plunger. The metal seat ball valve in the pipeline containing corrosive mortar with working temperature of 540C and pressure up to 140MPa, HVOP sprayed with WC-Co coating, NiCr-Cr3C2 coating and FeCrNiMo coating, which greatly improves the reliability and life of the ball valve. .
