Mechanical protection is to make a protective cover according to the shape of the parts to protect the places that do not need to be sprayed. When the protective cover is made of metal or materials that will not affect sandblasting, it can be used as a shielding protection before roughening treatment or as a shielding protection before spraying. The following principles should be followed when making fixtures.
(1) There should be a certain gap between the protective cover and the surface (part) to be sprayed, generally 1.5mm~3.0mm, to prevent the protective cover from sticking to the coating. When the protective cover is removed, the edge of the coating will be damaged.
(2) When spraying the inner diameter, try not to form a blind hole in the inner diameter due to the installation of the protective cover, otherwise the dust generated during spraying will not be easily discharged and pollute the coating, resulting in poor cooling effect and easy to produce overheating of spraying.
(3) The protective cover should have a certain strength to prevent deformation during use.
(4) The protective cover should not be made of low melting point alloys or metals and metals with very low hardness to prevent metal contamination.
