The work required for the abrasive to strike the metal is provided directly by the motor and transmission. When working, the abrasive is loaded into the sandblasting machine near the axial center of the blade or other parts where the centrifugal force is small. With the high-speed rotation of the wheel, the abrasive is continuously sent to a fast-rotating impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, the abrasive is thrown out at a high speed, and the moment the abrasive leaves the blasting machine, it reaches a linear speed equivalent to the top of the impeller, and hits the surface of the workpiece with a very large kinetic energy. The speed of sand particles can reach 50-100m/s. The kinetic energy of the abrasive depends on the size and speed of the impeller, as well as the particle size and quality of the abrasive. The motor power of the wheel centrifugal sandblasting sheet is usually several kilowatts to more than ten kilowatts, and the motor speed is 2000-3000 revolutions per minute.



The centrifugal sandblasting method has less friction loss, high production efficiency and low cleaning cost. There are two types of centrifugal sandblasting machines: stationary and mobile. At present, most of the wheeled centrifugal sand blasting cleaning equipment is used as a fixed facility, and a cleaning system composed of multiple devices is used. They can be arranged at different angles, so that multiple wheeled cleaning machines can be used to clean large components or machine parts. Centrifugal sandblasting equipment is usually installed in a closed blasting chamber, and the parts to be cleaned are sent into the blasting chamber through a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt transports the workpieces to be processed through the blasting machine. While the workpiece is running on the conveyor belt, it is sandblasted, and the workpiece coming out of the discharge end is processed. This blasting operation can be automated. The abrasive sprayed on the surface of the workpiece is collected in the sandblasting chamber. After the centrifugal mechanism in the sandblasting chamber recovers, screens and purifies the abrasive, it is re-transported to the impeller of the centrifugal sandblaster, and the abrasive is recycled.



The method of sand blasting is efficient and economical. However, the sandblasting device is huge and expensive, and is generally only used in batch processing production lines.
