Oxygen-acetylene gas flame spraying is an open flame operation, which uses flammable gas. Irregular operation methods can easily cause major accidents such as burns, explosions, and fires. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the safe use of gas cylinders and pressure reducers.

    (1) It is forbidden to put oxygen cylinders, acetylene cylinders and other combustible gas cylinders together. Flammables, grease and oily items cannot be transported in the same vehicle with oxygen cylinders.

    (2) When handling oxygen cylinders and acetylene cylinders, the protective caps on the necks of the bottle necks should be installed. When in use, they should be placed in a proper and reliable place to remove the protective caps on the necks of the bottle necks. When pulling the bottle cap, it can only be unscrewed by hand or wrench, and it is forbidden to hit it with a metal hammer to prevent sparks from causing accidents.

    (3) The nut of the oxygen decompression gauge should be screwed at least 6 to 8 buttons on the mouth of the oxygen bottle. The screw joint should be tightened, and the adjusting screw of the decompression gauge should be loosened.

    (4) After the oxygen cylinder and pressure reducer are installed, slowly open the oxygen valve, check whether the joint between the pressure reducer and the oxygen cylinder is leaking, and whether the indicator is flexible. When opening the oxygen valve, do not face the pressure reducer. The pressure gauge should be standing on the side or behind the pressure reducer. Do not use fireworks or open flames when checking for air leakage. Use soapy water to check, and use it only after checking that there is no air leakage.

    (5) It is strictly forbidden for the mouth of the oxygen bottle to come into contact with grease, or use an oily wrench to tighten the oxygen bottle valve and the decompression connecting screw, and it is also not allowed to wear oily gloves to avoid combustion and explosion accidents.

    (6) Oxygen cylinders, acetylene cylinders and pressure reducers should be properly placed before and after use to avoid impact and vibration.

    (7) When using acetylene cylinders and oxygen cylinders, they should be placed vertically and fixed with brackets to prevent falls.

    (8) Keep a distance of more than 8m~10m between oxygen cylinders and acetylene cylinders, flammable and explosive materials or other open flames. In some cases, when it is determined that it is difficult to reach 8m to 10m, it should be ensured that it is not less than 5m, but protection must be strengthened.

    (9) The oxygen in the oxygen cylinder is not allowed to be completely used up, and at least a residual pressure of 1MPa~2MPa is left.

    (10) If the bottle valve and pressure reducer are frozen in winter, it can be thawed with hot water, steam or infrared light steam, and it is strictly forbidden to use open flames for heating.

    (11) It is forbidden to use iron tools to slam each part of the gas cylinder, and do not slam the adjusting screw of the decompression gauge to prevent the airflow from rushing out at a high speed and causing an accident due to high temperature caused by local friction.

    (12) When operating in the open air in summer, oxygen cylinders and acetylene cylinders should be prevented from being directly exposed to the sun, so as not to cause gas expansion and explosion, they must be placed in a pergola or covered with a damp cloth.
