Wear testing machine The testing machine can be used as a wear resistance test for various metal materials and non-metallic materials (nylon, plastic, etc.) under various conditions of sliding friction, rolling friction, rolling-sliding compound friction and intermittent contact friction. It can simulate various materials for wet friction, dry friction and abrasive wear and other tests under different friction conditions. In addition, this testing machine is also used for contact fatigue dynamic bonding strength test.
According to the different wear test methods selected and the difference of the material nature, different wear resistance evaluation methods can be selected in order to obtain accurate test data. The commonly used methods are as follows:
1) Weighing method
A method of expressing the wear resistance by using the difference in the quality of the sample before and after the test. The amount of wear caused by the friction between the two samples can be obtained by weighing the difference between the masses of the samples before and after the test with an analytical balance with an accuracy of one ten thousandth. Before the test, the sample must be strictly degreasing, dried and then weighed, otherwise the residual oil will affect the accuracy of the test data.
It can be calculated as follows:
W = W0-W1
In the formula, W is the wear amount of the sample;
W0-----the quality of the sample before the test;
W1-----the mass of the sample after the test.
2) Measuring diameter method
The wear resistance is represented by the change in the diameter of the sample before and after the test.
3) Cut-in method
The wear scar width or the size of the wear volume is used to express the wear resistance.
