There are generally two types of indoor exposure fields.

     1) Well-ventilated indoor exposure field

The temperature and humidity conditions are similar to those of outdoor cloudy and sunny days, but it is necessary to ensure that each sample indoors is not exposed to sunlight and rain. The building structure of this exposure field should be modeled on the form and principle of the louver box where meteorological instruments are placed, that is, there are more louvers on the walls on both sides, and at the same time, its position should be adjacent to the outdoor exposure field.

     2) Dark, humid indoor exposure field

This indoor exposure field is mainly to test the protective performance of the coating in the basement or cave, so the exposure field should also be located in the basement or cave. Since the temperature and humidity in the basement or cave are different from those in the outdoors, it is necessary to have meteorological instruments that automatically record the temperature and humidity, and regularly record the data.

There are no special requirements for the suspension method of the samples in the indoor exposure field. The sheet samples can be hung vertically, and the samples with complex shapes can be placed on the wooden sample holder in sequence.
