current position:Information and data>Principle of scratch test method
Use a hard steel needle or blade to stagger the coating on the surface of the sample into parallel lines or squares with a certain spacing, and the number and spacing of the scratches are not limited. Since the coating acts on the substrate under stress during scratches, if the force is greater than the bonding force of the coating, the coating will peel off from the substrate. After scratches, the adhesion of the coating is evaluated by whether the coating peels or peels off.
This test method is suitable for some coatings with medium hardness and thin thickness.
