       The basic principle of EDM is that spark discharge is generated between electrodes, and the working medium is broken down to form a channel, so that the metal on the electrode surface is eroded. Relying on the automatic adjustment of the feeding system and the working medium purification circulation system of the machine tool to ensure the continuous spark discharge, and through the correct polarity conversion, the metal surface of the workpiece is continuously melted and vaporized to achieve the purpose of dimensional processing.



     (1) Since EDM relies on high temperature melting and vaporization to remove metal, as long as the cathode such as copper is used, difficult-to-machine coatings such as cemented carbide and heat-resistant alloy can be processed, so as to achieve the effect of overcoming rigidity with softness.

     (2) The spark discharge time is extremely short and will not affect the workpiece substrate. It is suitable for processing coatings with strong heat sensitivity, such as: precision alloys, cemented carbide and other coatings.

     (3) By conveniently adjusting the pulse parameters, rough, semi-finishing and finishing can be realized on the same machine tool, and it is easy to realize automatic control.
