       The sealing ring mating surface, self-pressure oil block mating surface, bearing inner and outer ring mating surface, bushing sliding mating surface, box support surface and other parts on heavy-duty tracked vehicles quickly wear out and fail due to poor wear resistance. Most of the above-mentioned parts are thin-walled parts, which were scrapped because they could not be repaired by surfacing and other methods. The Academy of Armored Forces Engineering successfully repaired it with plasma spraying technology and achieved excellent results. It is the first time in China that the institute uses the self-developed plasma spraying equipment to repair parts of heavy-duty tracked vehicles on a large scale.



     The repaired parts by plasma spraying have passed the actual vehicle assessment test, which proves that they can fully meet the work requirements, and the combination of the coating and the substrate is reliable. The wear resistance of the sprayed layer is very high. The average wear resistance of the parts repaired by plasma spraying is 1.4 times to 8.3 times that of similar new parts, which significantly prolongs the service life of the parts, and the repair cost is about 1/8 of the price of the new product. In addition, Compared with the chrome plating process, the plasma spray repair process has more prominent economic benefits, and its process cost is only 1/6 of the chrome plating process.
