The water stabilized plasma spray gun uses water as the plasma arc working medium, and is designed according to the concept of liquid flow vortex. After a certain pressure of water enters the spray gun, a vortex is generated along the liquid surface of the guide ring. Due to centrifugal force, the water vortex adheres to the wall surface, forming a hollow in the arc cavity. The carbon rod is sealed with the vortex cavity, and is connected to the negative pole of the power supply, and the rotating anode is connected to the positive pole of the power supply, and an arc is generated by a short circuit of a metal wire. The fluid vortex "insulates" the arc column from the metal walls of the arc cavity while cooling and strongly compressing the arc. Under the heating of the arc, part of the water on the surface of the vortex is evaporated, the steam flows toward the nozzle, and is ionized during the flow to form H+ and O2- plasma. The resulting plasma arc expands rapidly in volume after leaving the nozzle, producing a high-speed plasma jet. The powder is fed into the plasma jet at the nozzle outlet, and the powder is heated, melted and accelerated to form a spray particle beam.
