What are the parts of the plasma spray gun and what are the requirements

       Plasma spray gun is the core device of plasma spray equipment. It generally consists of three parts: front gun body, rear gun body and insulator. The front and rear gun bodies are made of brass, and the insulator is made of temperature-resistant and water-resistant insulating materials. A nozzle made of red copper is sealed and fixed in the front gun body, which is connected to the positive electrode of the power supply, and the rear gun body is fixed with a cathode made of cerium-tungsten alloy, which is connected to the negative electrode of the power supply.



   Plasma spraying has the following requirements for the spray gun:

   1) Use performance

    (1) It can generate stable and concentrated plasma arc;

    (2) The generated plasma arc has high temperature, high enthalpy and high speed;

    (3) High thermal efficiency;

    (4) Nozzle and electrode have long service life.

   2) Structural properties

    (1) Good air tightness and water tightness, no water leakage or air leakage during use;

    (2) The concentricity between the electrode and the nozzle hole is good;

    (3) The insulation performance between the positive and negative electrodes (cathode and nozzle) is reliable and should withstand high voltages above 5000V;

    (4) The overall structure is compact, small in size and light in weight. The replacement and adjustment of the cathode and the nozzle are convenient. For the inner hole spray gun, there should be special requirements on the structure.

    According to different uses, plasma spray guns can be divided into two categories: outer circular spray guns and inner hole spray guns. The outer spray gun is mainly used for spraying the outer surface of the parts, and it can also be used for spraying and flat spraying on the surface of the shallow inner hole with larger diameter, and the inner hole spray gun is used for spraying the surface of the deeper inner hole.
