       The power station equipment works under the harsh conditions of high temperature, high pressure and high speed, and its corrosion and wear consumption is extremely considerable, most of which are expensive alloy metal materials, so the power station advocates repairing heavy wear parts instead of replacing new ones.



    1) High-speed arc spraying is used for long-term anti-corrosion of steel structures in power plants

    High-speed arc spraying zinc (or aluminum and base alloy) is used for anti-corrosion treatment on the metal surface, which can guarantee no rust for 15 to 20 years, which is called long-term anti-corrosion. This is unmatched by any anti-corrosion technology in the world at present. For example, the substation structure of Qinhuangdao Power Plant, He Power Plant and other units is protected by high-speed arc spraying zinc-aluminum alloy coating, which has achieved significant social and economic benefits.

    2) The high temperature coating prevents the "four pipes" of the boiler from bursting and leaking

    An economically feasible way to solve this problem is to use thin anti-wear, anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion coatings with good thermal conductivity. The Armored Forces Engineering College applied high-speed arc spraying technology to complete the hot corrosion treatment of 2# 3# boilers in Tianjin Dagang Power Plant and the "converter flue hood group" of Shougang No. 3 Steelmaking Plant. The thermal corrosion prevention effect is remarkable, the coating life is more than 5 years, and the construction quality is high and the construction period is short, which has been highly praised by experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the power industry.

    3) For power station fan impeller

    The bonding strength of the high-speed arc spray coating can reach more than 50MPa, which is far greater than the bonding strength required for the coating to overcome the centrifugal force of the fan. In China, high-speed arc spraying technology is used to spray a layer of 13Cr series wear-resistant coating on the fan impeller, which improves the wear resistance of the impeller, prolongs the service life, and saves maintenance costs. This technology has been popularized and used in Jiangxi Xinyu Power Plant, Liaoning Tieling Power Plant and other units, and has achieved good economic benefits.

    4) Used for water erosion and wear resistance of steam turbine blades

    In recent years, with the rapid development of supersonic arc spraying technology, the hardness and bonding strength of the coating are higher, especially the porosity of the coating is lower (<2%) and the oxide content is lower. High-speed arc spraying or combined with surfacing welding can form a layer of anti-wear and corrosion-resistant protective coating on the blade surface that is firmly bonded to the substrate, and obtains a better protective effect.

    5) Application in the field of new energy

    With the maturity and improvement of high-speed arc spraying technology, this technology has been adopted in China to protect the surface of waste-to-energy equipment.
