Typical examples of sprayed zinc and aluminum composite coatings at home and abroad

       (1) The suspension chain and some steel structure parts of the Maine Strait Highway Bridge in North Wales, UK are sprayed with zinc for protection, and the steel structure has been kept in excellent condition.



     (2) The purification device of a natural vaporization plant in Glanwich, USA, was sprayed with a 130-μm-thick aluminum coating on the steel structure, which remained intact after 30 years.

     (3) 5X105V power transmission project of Shanghai South Bridge of Huadian Administration Bureau, 1.4 x 104m2 steel pipe (600t steel), using arc spraying zinc, thickness 140μm, the protection period can reach more than 30 years.

     (4) The beacon buoys manufactured by Shanghai Beacon Instrument Factory are well protected by spraying aluminum. Compared with paint protection, aluminum protection can improve the corrosion resistance period by more than 10 times, and the maximum period of seawater corrosion prevention of sprayed aluminum layer can exceed 25 years.

     (5) The lighting poles and lampshades on more than 100 overpasses in Beijing are fully sprayed with zinc or aluminum at 80 μm to 120 μm and then closed, and the protection period can reach 20 to 30 years.
