Arc Spray Coating Properties

       Arc spray coating is also a typical layered structure. Due to the high melting temperature of arc spraying, compared with wire flame spraying, the coating characteristics have the following two points:



     1. High bonding strength, which is due to the high melting temperature and large particle deformation, which improves the bonding strength of the coating. Arc spraying aluminum can also produce micro-domain diffusion bonding structure on the interface of steel substrate.

     2. The element content is reduced. Due to the high temperature of the arc heat source, the evaporation amount of the element and the burning loss in the oxidizing atmosphere increase, so the reduction in the element content in the coating is even greater than that in the flame spray coating. When spraying carbon steel, the hardness of the coating decreases due to the large loss of carbon elements.
