Characteristics and application of powder flame spraying

       Powder flame spraying is a commonly used spraying method, and its main features are as follows.



     a. The equipment is simple and light, the initial investment is small, and the on-site construction is convenient.

     b. The operation process is simple, easy to master, and easy to popularize.

     c. It is suitable for local repair and strengthening of mechanical parts, with low cost, less time-consuming and high efficiency.

     d. It can spray various materials such as pure metal, alloy, ceramic and composite powder.

     e. Compared with other thermal spraying methods, due to the lower flame temperature and the flight speed of molten particles, the porosity of the coating is higher, and the residual stress of the coating is smaller, and a thicker coating can be sprayed on the same material.

     Due to the above characteristics, this method is widely used to prepare corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant coatings on the surfaces of mechanical parts, chemical containers and rollers. In the occasions where plasma spraying cannot be used (such as on-site construction), powder materials can be easily sprayed with this method. After making appropriate changes to the nozzle part of the spray gun, it can be used to spray plastic powder.
