In 1969, the Institute of Materials Science of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences developed this type of spraying equipment, and it has been patented in the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries and regions.



    There is also a type of deflagration spraying equipment that uses a non-explosive gas mixture. Both C2H2-O2 and H2-O2 gas mixtures are explosive gas mixtures, but the risk of backfire is high; from the perspective of safety and economy, it is desirable to use combustible gas mixtures with low tempering tendency, such as liquefied petroleum gas + O2, natural gas + O2, propylene gas + O2, etc.; but this type of gas mixture is a non-explosive gas mixture, and the process from combustion to explosion is much longer than that of C2H2-O2 and H2-O2 mixtures. This type of deflagration spraying equipment was developed taking into account the characteristics of refractory gas mixtures. Currently, the most successful equipment used is the "Demeton" equipment developed and finalized by the Ukrainian Institute of Materials Science. The equipment uses a mixture of non-explosive gas + O2 as the working gas, no buffer gas is required, and wearing parts are excluded, thus improving the reliability and stability of the equipment.
